"E-Series" Engine Starters
Repair or Overhaul

0-49-43    Starter Modification for S/N #'s prior to D-1950

These are the two starters that you will see on the E-series Continental Engines. There is also a third type starter, a Delco brand on earlier Model 35's that has a external Bendix drive mechanism built onto the top of the starter. This would be utilized on the E185-1 engines. I don't have a photo of one of those yet.

The starter on the left is the 36E14. The starter on the right is the E-80
